Graubner Expansion Project 2026

In April 2026, Romeo District Library will start the process of renovating the adult department and adding study rooms to the Graubner Branch.  In May, construction will begin for an expanded children’s department, a new teen room, a programming room for storytimes and classes, and a new and improved drive-up drop box.  The whole project should be wrapped up by spring of 2027.

We are funding this project with our savings and with bonds that we will pay back within 8 years.  This project will not add any additional taxes for you!

In order to make this renovation really great, we are hoping for a bit of extra help through donations.

We will have a Tree of Giving on the wall outside the new programming room that will highlight significant donations of $5,000 or more.  We will be contacting those donors directly with more details.

There will also be an opportunity for naming rights to study rooms, outdoor features, and other items in the new space.  Information about those will be available after the first of the year.

Thank you sincerely for considering a donation.  We believe we have an obligation to provide the best for our community, and your generosity will help make that possible.
