Awards range from $500 to $2,000. At least one scholarship of $500 is available annually for <strong>employees of the Romeo District Library who are completing their Bachelor&#8217;s with the intention of further study in Library and Information Sciences<\/strong>. Since 2002, the Friends have provided over $24,000 in educational support.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Scholarships awarded in 2026 may be applied to Fall 2026, Winter 2027 and\/or Spring 2027 terms.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/romeodistrictlibrary.org\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/RHS-logo.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-1757\" src=\"http:\/\/romeodistrictlibrary.org\/friends\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/RHS-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"101\" height=\"57\" \/><\/a>In addition, the Friends offer a scholarship to a selected <strong>Romeo High School (RHS) senior who has volunteered their time and efforts to the Romeo District Library or the Friends of the Romeo District Library within their high school career<\/strong>. Interested students should contact the RHS counseling office for an application.<\/p>\n<h1>Eligibility Requirements<\/h1>\n<h2>Scholarship for an accredited Masters in Library and Information Sciences program<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Resident of Bruce Township, Washington Township or the Village of Romeo<\/li>\n<li>AND\/OR you are an employee of the Romeo District Library (full-time or part-time working a minimum of 20 hours per week)<\/li>\n<li>Currently enrolled or have applied to an accredited MLIS program (If you are not currently enrolled \u2013 you must provide documentation of acceptance before the scholarship will be awarded)<\/li>\n<li>Currently in good academic standing or graduated from your previous educational experience in good standing<\/li>\n<li>If you are a previous scholarship recipient, you must have maintained a 3.0 GPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Scholarship for a Bachelors or Associate degree program in preparation for future MLIS study<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Employee of the Romeo District Library (full-time or part-time working a minimum of 20 hours per week)<\/li>\n<li>Currently enrolled in or have applied to a relevant bachelor&#8217;s or associate degree program (If you are not currently enrolled \u2013 you must provide documentation of acceptance before the scholarship will be awarded)<\/li>\n<li>Currently in good academic standing or graduated from your previous educational experience in good standing<\/li>\n<li>If you are a previous scholarship recipient, you must have maintained a 3.0 GPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h1>Schedule<\/h1>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"120\">Application Deadline<\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"126\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">April 15, 2026<\/span><\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"377\"><em>If you meet the eligibility requirements, we will contact you to request additional information.
